Everyone always talks about music, movies, and food in Austin. However, I've been feeling more artistic so among my search for local happenings in Austin I found East Austin Studio Tour 2009.
The art tour showcases local artists who can apply by a deadline. They also have other ways to display art such as in galleries. These types of showings although not the main focus are given titles of 'happenings' which are available if not at a gallery which hosts the tour.
Many follow these to see what local Austin artists are up to. The tour will be from Nov. 14 to Nov. 22.
What I find cool about this is there are hundreds of places on the tour map where you can see amazing local artists. I will definitely be checking about it and will tell you all about how it was!
Apparently previous ones were cultural and eye opening experiences! Lillian Anel ,my friend and radio-television-flim sophomore at University of Texas at Austin, describes the experience as
" a magical and must-see experience".

I heard about this on Facebook, they have a group. I want to go see some of the art, it sounds really cool.
